Seeds represent beginnings.
If you are a new disciple of Jesus you are in a seed season. 1 Peter 2:2 says, “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation…” It is the Lord’s desire that we “grow up” in our faith so we can be fruitful in the Lord’s work.
You may also be in a seed season if you have been a believer for a while but you have not grown up in your salvation. Ask yourself: Am I being led by the Spirit in my daily life (see Romans 8:14)? Do I have a working understanding of God’s word (2 Timothy 2:15)? Do I have a Chistian worldview and can I effectively share my faith with others (1 Peter 3:15)?
